A Glimpse of London 1930s in colour

They showed the Imperial War Museum. That's one place that I never got to see. I had to chuckle when I saw a small truck (lorry) that said on it, Kodak Film. Kodak Film was made in Rochester, NY, where I lived in my childhood.

Queen Charlotte's Hospital? I like to look at the clock towers in these old films to see when the filming was done. One tower said 4 pm. Another said 4:10 pm. Saw a poster for Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times.

That looked a lot different from the London I visited some 50 years later.

My dad was born in the early 30s so he would be a child in London when that film was made.

Just the lack of people and the horse drawn carts. And cars and buses giving way to the horses.
It's like another world.

I grew up in London in the 60s and 70s and can remember how it was in the 70s very clearly. Totally different to today.
