Holly, I agree that the OP's video was far too complicated and would be VERY expensive! I love your idea - but don't the birds poop on the solar panel ?I have that solar powered fountain in my Bird Bath. Didn't have to cut any ends at all, simply put it together, and place it in the bird bath, much more simple than this guy is doing

just buy the solar water pump like I have in my Bird bath... this one.. it has several different ways of spraying... simple to fit...I am building a similar thing for a birdbath for my visiting Hummingbirds...Supposedly they love bird baths with fountains... The only thing that discouraged me was, that I could not find a solar water pump. So had to buy a water pump for a fountain for $35... Still looking for a solar water pump...
