A Green Peace study finds only about 5% of recycled plastics are repurposed

Maybe plastic packaging should be standardized to make it easier to recycle. That would require government regulations, though, which is difficult if not impossible in this day and age.
I think plastic packaging should just be eliminated. Most of it, at least. Staple the cat toys to a bit of cardboard; no plastic clam needed. The problem with this is that legislators, plastics producers, and major marketing corporations are in bed together, scratching each others backs, greasing each others palms...it's a regular orgy.

Incredibly, there are 5 types of triangles. They all have 3 sides identically, but the numbers and letters in the triangles differ according to how much PBA, stabilizers, lubricants and etc. it contains.
If it’s plastic and lacks a triangle I don‘t recycle it. OK?

Ok with me. And I'm sure the guys who have to sort our recycling appreciate it.

I was just pointing out that there are all those codes in the triangles. Most people don't look for codes, let alone the triangle. And I wasn't talking about you specifically, just people in general.
