A lot of times things aren't said that should be said, and I have put this off, mainly because I really didn't know how to express my thanks to everyone.
It is now going on 6 months since my wife passed, and in the first couple months the grief was heavy and hard to bear. After that, I felt a bit lost and the void that was left in my life was ever present.
I have friends and a wonderful family, but I can't call them up everyday just to talk. I had searched a few other sites of senior groups, but nothing seemed to fit. Then I happened upon this site, and I felt welcome from day one.
Again, I don't know how to express the appreciation I have for each of you. You will never know how much it has meant to me, and what a difference you have made in my life. Whenever, I feel the need for company and friendship, you are always here. I know, many times you are just seeing my twisted sense of humor, but the serious side of me sincerely wants to let you know that I'm deeply grateful for you and your wonderful, diverse personalities. I know I'm going to be okay now, and you deserve much of the thanks for that. You're the best of the best, and don't ever doubt that you aren't making a difference in the lives of others, because you certainly are. Thank you to all.
