How I wish more photos had been saved from my mother's house. That's me with the sailor dress; not sure how old I was. My two older sisters are also pictured as is my late mother. My mother sure did enjoy cutting our hair. Sigh...

P.S. By the way, you and your sisters hair looks great! As a mom, caring for shorter, more manageable hair is much easier than long hair, and shorter hair on a little one looks cleaner.

Thank you @Aunt Marg ; there would be times in our childhood where Mom would allow us to have long hair and then she'd get tired of managing long hair on 3 little girls and snip away!

Additionally, long hair always tends to be in a child's eyes, whereas shorter hair stays out of the way.
