[h=3]Valley man owns TedCruz.com; not related to the Presidential candidate[/h] Posted: Mar 24, 2015 5:38 PM Updated: Mar 24, 2015 6:35 PM By Linda Williams, FOX 10 News

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - The Presidential Campaign for Ted Cruz may have hit a virtual speedbump on the internet because of a valley man.

"I am announcing that I am running for President of the United States," said Senator Ted Cruz, during an announcement.

What's in a name? Well if you're trying to get yours out there, get noticed, and get votes, it's a lot.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who just announced his aspirations to run for President, doesn't own TedCruz.com.

It's actually owned by an Arizona realtor who bought the domain over ten years ago. Cruz's campaign would no doubt love to have that domain.

"Everybody wants the dot com name; it's pretty powerful," said Brandon Disney.

Disney is with Data Doctors and suspects the campaign is already contacting Cruz, the realtor to buy TedCruz.com.

"His best and the first option is to try nicely to see if he can acquire the domain through purchase, ask some fair price, see if he can do it. It's not like he has legal options such as if the owners name wasn't Ted Cruz, he is actually Ted Cruz," said Disney.

So who is Ted Cruz the realtor? He's not speaking to the media.

When you go to TedCruz.com you see Ted Cruz the realtor may not support Ted Cruz, the Presidential Candidate. He supports President Obama and "Immigration Reform Now!" is a simple message on the page.

It's embarrassing to the Ted Cruz campaign perhaps.
To avoid embarrassment and control their brand, celebrities like Taylor Swift and businesses are reportedly buying up more domain names like .porn and .xxx to control their online presence.

"Where Taylor Swift's case if someone else got TaylorSwift.porn, she may be able to take attorneys and go after that person, it's a lot less hassle to, and a lot less expensive to buy it in the first place," said Disney.

I'm not sure he wasn't hatched. He reminds me of Joseph McCarthy also a newbie in congress when he did his hell raising.

Personally, I don't think he expects to be elected President.. or even of getting the Repubican nomination. He's marketing himself. I think the job he is really after is Senate Majority leader.. Or Speaker of the House.

He is a classic knuckle dragger!!

Even Ted Cruz’s critics seem to concur on one point: whatever else you might say about him, the man is very smart. Mother Jones magazine has called him the “thinking man’s tea partier.” Josh Marshall, in a mostly withering assessment, made the same obligatory concession to his being an “incredibly bright guy.”

Don't get me wrong I'm not in anyway defending his ideas, but I don't think "knuckle dragger" is the way to view him. Instead I see his candidacy and his debating skills as a way of driving the entire Republican field farther to the right which is what I want to see. I hope Ted survives Iowa and keeps the Republican base energized.

I heard his denial of climate change on Slate. He is, in my NSHO, a knuckle dragger. Josh, as you well know, "smart" does not bring common sense or the ability to accept information. He, Cruz, is now the Chairman of the Nasa oversight committee the idea of that man in that position is scary enough without *Shutter* thinking of him as President. I understand he has much republican resistance to his nomination.
