I remember the movie. Back then few people were aware that some psychiatrists believed a person could be born psychopathic and that a child was capable of psychopathic behavior, so the studio knew it would be a shock to the general audience. Then you had the 70s when we were watching an actual war on TV. Our sensitives changed.
