A new house on the market near me

I saw the realtor's sign a few days ago as I went by. There are two houses for sale on that short street, the other is "for sale by owner" and it's been for sale a few months now. When I see several houses near each other, it makes me wonder if there's some issue in that neighborhood. This is the one in a realtor's hands:

For sale for "A few months now " ? Never happen here in Toronto. Although sales have declined a bit, the market is still roaring along. Some desirable homes sell in 2 or 3 days, above the asking price. You must live in a small town, am I right , in New York state ?

Could be coincidence. When I bought that damn house, it and one across the way was for sale. A death and one to a nursing home were the causes. Both elderly.

There are two houses on that street for sale and one that was recently sold, and there's only 8 houses on that street.

What are the neighbors like?

I don't live on that street, but I see the realtor signs when I drive by. It just seems curious that many would be for sale on a short street.
