A New Study Shows Women Love Housework

I don’t know too many women that love doing housework, and overwhelmingly, whether women work or not they end up doing the majority of both housework and childcare. It’s no wonder the birth rate is down. Women are worn out from many men not doing their share. Six months ago I hired cleaners to clean once a month and love it!

They obviously didn't ask me, nope to housework, but I have to say, I would have rather been a stay at home wife with housework to do and taking care of children, instead of more than 40 years, at times, working for some bosses who treated me like the dirt under their shoes and I was too afraid to say anything and just took it because I needed the money.
 
before all ytou ladies start getting your knickers in a twist we need to consider the stats ?? - how many in the study - were they women only - many of these studies are floored from the beginning - too small and badly researched??

I've been considering doing that..same thing. Get cleaners in once a month.. for a deep clean. what do you get them to do..on a monthly basis ? :unsure:

@hollydolly You can have them come in and handle the bigger things you might have more trouble with. Like vacuuming or mopping or deep cleaning and things like that. If you can do the smaller things like dusting and wiping down surfaces and the lighter things then you'd be all set.

I would really only want them to do the deep cleaning..like the bathrooms, wash the blinds in all the rooms... vac the stairs ....clean out the cuoboards and fridge when necessary

I can do everything mysef..... but just these days it 's more difficult than it used to be.. Once upon a time I can do the whole house top to bottom, in 2 days , now it takes me a week ... and by the time I've finished it needs doing again...
 
@hollydolly you could probably look for someone and discuss with them what you need done to make sure they agree to it and then you'd be set. I know some housekeepers only do certain things. Others are more open to doing what the client needs. Hope you can find someone to help you out.
