A New Way To Cook

I bought one of these Halogen cooking devices four years ago and have been delighted with the most excellent results. BTW---- I am not promoting or marketing the brand shown in the following illustration, in fact, mine is a different company. Mine is a SECURA
The machines are very energy efficient and clean up is a snap compared to ovens and stove tops.

Has anyone else tried one of these?

So, Lon, you like it" I've been thinking about one of these. Do you have to alter your cooking times, etc. for regular things you cook all the time? And can you cook most anything in there? Can you put the parts in a dishwasher? It is against my religion to wash dishes by hand.

Cooking times are much faster than oven and times & can be altered while cooking. Meats and veggies can be cooked together. Bowl and accessories can go in dish washer safely. I have done hams, whole chicken, steaks, salmon, pork loins, all done to perfection, along with veggies.

I have friends who have Halogen Ovens and without exception they love them...However, I just don't have room in my kitchen for one, so much as I'd like to try one I can't.

Hey, Lon -- I've been seriously looking at these now. Does yours make a lot of noise? Do you have to flip things over (like a whole chicken, for instance?). I think one of these would be a good solution for me -- I only cook for one most days.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

The machines make no noise at all and all. Meats, fowl and fish do not have to be turned and that is one of the many advantages over traditional cooking. There is a fan that circulates the heat and distributes it evenly over and across the food. Also, There is a steel band around the glass bowl that keeps the heat from dissapating.through the glass.
