A Nice Walk ( with photos )

I grew up in a very arid town where we never got to go out on excursions / swimming lessons like kids do now days
so I never got the opportunity to learn patty

@Kadee I remember when you guys used to dog-sit. I liked hearing about that.
Yep very selective now days …. Only consider regulars…….no new contacts …ie ..word of mouth who contact us

One of our regulars we’ve taken care of ….on and off since early 2018

Dog walking keeps us for and active to be able to still be dancing …

I wish she lived nearer by though I'm happy with the dog sitter we have now. So I won't ask you to move. ;)
We’ve been offered pet sits in oversees countries due to our glowing reviews we supply to homeowners ….
but it’s not for me ….i like flying from SA where I live ..to the Gold Coast ( Coolangatta ) for 2 hours ….going up ..coming back is 3 hours due to the southerly
winds …..that’s my limit ..

I don’t grow very many spiky plants but I have several kinds of aeonium like the low growing succulent near the bottom middle of the frame.

This Cereus monstrose opened here yesterday. They mostly bloom at night but are often still open early in the morning. The flower is about as big as my hand but the plant 3-4 feet and can get much taller.

Today we went for a 27 1/2 kilometre bike ride. We took the dogs and this time they jumped in on their own. To me, since I know my dogs, that proves that they like it. Our dogs hate being left at home by themselves.

We went to the start of the trail which stops at the causeway. There’s something very nostalgic about smelling the seawater while biking.

Today we met 2 Mennonites on the trail. They were walking. The woman had a white cane so she was either blind or partially blind.

It was 21 degrees today and sunny. We stopped approximately every 5 kilometres . It gave us all a break. I shared my hard boiled eggs with the dogs. Plus we took milkbone dog biscuits. The dogs are fastened to my husbands bike so I get to see their smiling faces. It’s very obvious that they like biking. It sure beats staying home by themselves.

The most stunning cacti flower I’ve seen is the dragon fruit , I had one growing in my limited gardening area but we weren’t to fussed about the taste so we cut it back gave the cuttings away and dug the rest out .
Yep roses are beautiful but… mean as hell , especially dark colour roses it seems the darker the flower ….more mean thorns
The DF only flowered at night @MarkD
