The library and many other substantial government owned buildings sit on the banks of Lake Burley griffin

copied this ….
Lake Burley Griffin (the Lake) is Canberra's centrepiece and a significant number of national institutions, parks and national public places are located on or near its shores and is an integral part of Canberra’s design and is a vital element in the plan for the nation’s capital. The Lake dams the Molonglo River between Scrivener Dam and the Dairy Road Bridge.

Photo taken by me ….

The water spout in Canberra, known as the Captain Cook Memorial Jet, can reach a maximum height of 152 meters (500 feet). It's located in the Central Basin of Lake Burley Griffin.

The Captain Cook Memorial, incorporating the Water Jet and Globe, was constructed by the Commonwealth Government to commemorate the Bicentenary of Captain James Cook's first sighting of the east coast of Australia. The Memorial was officially inaugurated on 25 April 1970 by Queen Elizabeth II.

its a rare sight to see it going …as it’s usually very windy here and the wind blows water over the bridge ( road ) so they can’t have it going all the time

This is …..

I took the photo yesterday , ( same area as this photo ^^^)

I like the reflection of the mountain on the water

Copied this ….
Telstra Tower, also known as Black Mountain Tower, is a prominent telecommunications tower and tourist attraction in Canberra, Australia. It stands 195.2 meters tall on top of Black Mountain, offering panoramic views of the city and surrounding areas from its viewing platforms and indoor viewing area. While currently closed for renovations, with plans for a staged reopening, it remains an iconic landmark in Canberra.

Today we went to the park to take the dogs for a walk. It was a sunny, windy day and the temperature was 18 degrees.
We spotted a nice yacht on the way there.

Have a great day.

Today we walked along the Atlantic Ocean Coastline. It was 23 degrees and mainly sunny , with a bit of a breeze.

Muskoka chairs and small boats for enjoying the water.

We walked until the very end or the very beginning of the trail depending how you look at it.

We took water to give our dogs to keep them hydrated and splash on their backs. We also took them in the water in areas where we could get access to the beach.

Not many people go this way due to the sign that’s up saying it’s inaccessible in 1 kilometre which isn’t at all accurate. The total walk to the end is at least 2 and a half kilometres, making this a 5 kilometre walk in total.

Have a lovely day ‘ya all. :)
