A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today we walked along the atv trail with the The River running by it. Most of the snow is gone. It was 5 degrees today.

The river was running fast and furious.

Parts of the trail was icy but most of it was easy to walk on. We considered goog to the park but the road to it is all gated up so we changed our mind. It was a nice 4 kilometre walk.

On the way back we spotted some deer . They were very well camouflaged IMG_2483.jpeg

I enjoy all your pictures, Patty but this one of the deer is particularly good.

Today was really sunny so we walked along the ATV Celtic trail. We were the only ones on the trail that we’d been on.

These are some Coo cows eating on some hay. They were very content cows and didn’t mind getting their picture taken. IMG_1950.jpeg

Today we went to the park. The road going into the park was closed so we walked there.

The wind coming off the ocean was brutal. Luckily we were dressed warm with hats and gloves. There wasn’t really anything exciting to take pictures of . It was about a 3 kilometre walk.
Have a nice day.

Thank you for taking us, on your walks,
@PeppermintPatty
🥰
It's always wonderful to see your pictures.
🤩
And to read your comments you share, as well.
Hi Kaila,
Thank you for joining me on my walks.
It’s good to have your company
Today was really cold and I needed to wear cleats today . The ground was so slippery.
Today was -8 but felt more like -16 so we went to the most sheltered walk which was the forest walk.

We didn’t see anyone on our walks today.
Luckily I didn’t fall. I’m slow with sharing my walk today but I was also slow getting up. I’m not sleeping well.

Thank you for nice pictures as always, Patty. I loved the cows! Sorry you're not sleeping well. Me too, lately. It's a drag, I know. :/

Sorry that you haven't slept better, Patty, and thanks for posting and sharing, anyway. 🥰

It looks almost too cold to snow, in your pictures today though that might be my feeling.

After a few indoor days, I went out to pick up a grocery order and 2 pharmacy items, and the wind chill was very cold, here too.

Nice mixture of branches and shadows in that 1st photo.

The forest looks quiet and peaceful, today.

Hi Medusa. Thanks for joining in. I love those cows also. They are coo cows. I love that they are so well taken care of.

Not sleeping well IS a drag. I hate needing to drug myself in order to sleep but have no choice . I can’t live my life without sleeping.

Nice chatting with you Medusa.

Hey Kaila,
Thanks for joining in again today. Hopefully my sleep Will improve . With the lack of sleep and lack of sunlight , it’s really bumming me out. Then again I’ve always gotten depressed right after Christmas.

How have you been doing ? Have you been doing all your physical therapy? How is your dear husband?

You’ve got cold wind there also? Brrrr. Luckily I wore my super warm coat today.

I'm very exhausted this evening, so having trouble with posting sentences, Patty, but thank you for that nice note, asking about us, here on your walking thread. 🥰
No worries Kaila. Sorry for asking so many questions.

Today we went to the provincial park again. It was -12 degrees, -17 with the wind chill factor so I wore my warmest coat with the fur around the hood. When we walked up the hill I put my hood up which was nice and toasty warm except it caused my glasses to steam up so I put them in my pocket. Unfortunately I’d forgotten that they were in my pocket and when I put my seat belt on, broke them. Luckily I have an extra pair but they were my favourite.

This is how the water freezes on the rocks. It causes the rock to split in places and tumble down the hill

This is the lighthouse at the top of the hill. The snow here is almost all gone.

That’s all I have for you. Have a lovely day.

Today we went on the Celtic Trail. It’s a path made by the government that used to be a railroad track. We chose this walk while we were at home since it was a clear and Sunday with little to no wind.

When we got there that -16 really snuck in and the wind brutal. It was very cold.
Luckily the dogs had sweaters on. Their fur is really short right now.

The ocean was really rough and wavy.

Luv all your photos @PeppermintPatty this is like a frozen waterfall between the rocks it’s a great photo
Wish I’d known about those cleats , I actually didn’t understand how slippery hard …frozen ice was due to having never seen ~ snow before last winter , I slipped regained my balance …then the ice gave away under my feet and I had a fall …didn’t really get hurt…I had a heavy backpack on with our lunch that put me off balance … more so and tipped me backwards… my backpack stopped me hitting my head …
