A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today we went into the town forest walk. Most of the snow and ice was gone from the trail. It was 9 degrees Celsius so not too cold and it was cloudy.

Here the start of the trail

Ooo, I love an eagle sighting! The woodpecker holes were fun to see as well.

I’ve never seen as many eagles until we moved here. The eagles definitely likel the area here. There’s so many of them.
@Medusa- here’s some of my past eagle sightings

It’s nice seeing fresh woodpecker holes. It’s even more fun watching the birds make them

Patty, these pictures are amaze! I know it's cliché, but Bald Eagles really are so majestic and beautiful to see.

Thanks Medusa. Bald Eagles certainly ARE majestic looking in every way. I love getting a nice shot of them. One of our most memorable eagle sightings was feeding them the fish remains after my husband went fishing. There was an eagle pair with some nesting eaglets ( baby eagles ) and we fed them on a sandbar. It was so cool. My husband fed them while I took pictures. I got so many cool pictures of him coming down to get the food. It was so exciting.

Hi Patty ,
Thanks for those great pictures, and for taking us with you, today. 😀
Hi Kayla,
The bald eagle pictures weren’t all from today. They are a handful of my favourite bald eagle photos that I had and wanted to share with Medusa and any others who might like some close ups of bald eagles but thanks for taking an interest in my walking thread.

Today we went to Celtic Shore trails. There was 4 trucks and 4 trailers there already so we went on the side that we knew they wouldn’t go. It’s fairly foggy where we walked today but not foggy anywhere else we went.
The first bridge looked like it just dropped into nowhere land. lol

Normally we can see the other sides of the bay but not today.

These 2 geese came by when we did and left when we did.

On the way home. Not foggy at all.

We walked about 3 kilometres today. It was a beautiful day with a temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. I took my coat off and tied it around my waist. It’s definitely spring weather today.

Have a nice day.
This was the series of photos I was talking about. I love them.
I thought they were from today. Oops. 😊😁😄

Holy wow! That must have felt wonderous. Once in a lifetime. 🥰

It WAS fabulous. We felt very lucky. We could see the nest but couldn’t see the baby eagles. We could see the mother eagle though. She stayed on the nest while the daddy eagle went hunting for food. He must have thought he struck the jackpot that day. It was probably special for ALL of us.
