A Note About Lottery Winners

I saw on the news if you win the lottery in Arizona you can remain secret. In Michigan you must submit to the media so they can spread your picture and whatever else their laws demand I assume your name. So if you win there you will be hounded by leaches for the remaining years of your life. Why pass such a law?

Some lobbyist greased some lawmaker's palm at the expense of all lottery winners' privacy. That would be my guess. The lobbyist either represented an insurance corporation or a financial and investment institution, what'dya wanna bet?

There have been cases where the winner was accused of having bought the ticket as part of a group and he kept it for himself. Or the man that leaves his wife and doesn’t tell her. (No specific gender in these examples.)
