Sorry. Misunderstood
Who???I just call up John Wick if I have issues with someone...
I tried both, with the same results on both- my 'settings' feature doesn't work.At the top right next to the envelope there's an avatar of you. Click on that and you can go into privacy settings or account details to change things.
not sure what you mean that it doesn't work. if you click on it there's a drop down menu for you to select your preferences. like if you click on privacy there's a menu there. you don't see that?I tried both, with the same results on both- my 'settings' feature doesn't work.
You checked under "privacy?" Because that's where I just looked... I'm set to "members only" with who can send me private messages, but one of the pull-down options is "nobody." @SunkistI tried both, with the same results on both- my 'settings' feature doesn't work.
It's not under preferences, it's under privacy. Maybe it's different on a phone, but I have both at separate places (laptop.)not sure what you mean that it doesn't work. if you click on it there's a drop down menu for you to select your preferences. like if you click on privacy there's a menu there. you don't see that?
I tried both the Accounts section and the Privacy section.. in the left-hand side of both, there's a long list of topics including 'settings.' However, 'settings' is in lighter print, and when I click on it it doesn't do anything.not sure what you mean that it doesn't work. if you click on it there's a drop down menu for you to select your preferences. like if you click on privacy there's a menu there. you don't see that?
I don't mind if members send messages if they're ok, but if I had the option of selecting 'members only' then members I'd NOT want to hear from could send DMs.You checked under "privacy?" Yes, that's where I went (on my page)..Sunkist like this....click your avatar and it brings this up:

Then if you click on Privacy it should bring this up:

I meant she can set her stuff at what she prefers not the preferences section. It's not under preferences, it's under privacy. Maybe it's different on a phone, but I have both at separate places (laptop.)
Wooo you sure have THAT right!!!*giggles* tech stuff is so complicated sometimes.
Yes then you have to follow everyone you allow to send you messages.Hmmmm well, one of the options is also "people you follow"... you wouldn't be following people you don't want to contact you. Maybe that one will work for you. If not, I'm out of ideas.
Not me..I don't follow anyone..no-one... but I have about 120 followers I believe...Yes then you have to follow everyone you allow to send you messages.
Not necessarily.. everybody has their own reasons for participating on forums..I've never blocked or ignored anyone. Nothing here is serious so why is that necessary. We are all just "fooling around."
Ive never put anyone on ignore, and I dont recall ever sending a pm either - but I'm not following how this is sleazy - if people dont know the other person has them on ignore and they send a pm unaware of this, how is it sleazy?Unfortunately the second part isn't the case.. a direct message will still go through and be received.
I don't think anyone on this forum would be sleazy enough to do that, but I've been on the receiving-end of it on another forum.
Is this just a query asked out of curiosity, or is someone on this forum actually bothering-harassing-stalking you? If so I believe matrix would straighten out that person, in no uncertain terms.Would it be possible to "install" (if that's the correct word) a regular block feature? It would be much more effective and useful than the ignore feature.
