A question, I would like to discuss art.

I'm trying to find a way to share crafts. I have done some woodworking, metalsmithing and such.
You could photograph them and post them on sites like FaceBook, Flickr, or Instagram. If you want to display them first hand you might try a local crafts fair that meets every Saturday or every other weekend in your location. Also, you might try to find groups who specialize in doing a particular craft like woodworking and join them. They usually hold display sessions so others who do the same can enjoy their work and share experiences. Good luck.

have u ever used the app Instagram. It's all about creating and it's free. U can get so much inspiration and even post your own crafts. there is something for everyone.

This is a 12" dagger I made years ago. Faux pearl handle, nickel silver accoutrements & High carbon steel blade. Most of mine have not been sharpened as they were intended to be art, however they are all lethal. This dagger I did sharpen when I moved to my new apartment. I'm not paranoid, just cautious.

I must have my wall adjusted it looks crooked or maybe it's me!?

I'd much rather be shot than stabbed; I'd much rather shoot and not stab. Stabbing is too up close in your face, too insane.

Hello, I'm trying to find a way to share crafts. I have done some woodworking, metalsmithing and such.
Share them for others to see what you are doing or share them to sell.

You could share them with us here. I’m a crafter also and so is my husband.

Let’s see what you do?

Hi Patty, I have shared pix my knives and a handmade guitar in previous posts in this thead. I have tried to work in many mediums. Wood, metal, poetry. music, printing. As they say, a jack of all trades, master of none. 🄲 . I uploaded a song of mine another thread.

Handmade switchblade, 13" with a walnut handle, nickel silver bolsters, mother of pearl button. The blade is 1095 carbon steel. It's about 23 years old. Works as well as the day I finished it. Opens fast!

Nice job. I assume you started with manufactured bar steel. What thickness, do you remember?

I'm not an artist or craftsperson, really. I do utilitarian work for repairing machinery here on our place, or constructing some useful thing we need. MIG for most of that, O/A for heat forming or brazing.

I worked in 1095, which can lend itself to a high carbon blade with a great edge for a dagger, sword and an excellent spring for a switchblade. Sometimes I started with store bought bars, other times I would work with automobile leaf springs. Much more affordable, but essentially the same material.

I had a small charcoal forge.. Quenched in oil, some times in snow. One night you should have seen the face of 12 year old child kid walking by when I dashed from the forge to the snow. So glad his Dad was not there. Some people don't understand metal art.
