A rare Valencia sighting

What are those orange things on poles?
Those orange things on telephone poles are safety devices (like line covers/guards or "rubber trees") for utility workers, providing insulation and visibility near live power lines, or sometimes they are orange communication/fiber optic cables/conduits, or even just ownership markings (dots/paint) for the utility company like Verizon. The specific meaning depends on if it's a temporary wrap on lines/poles (safety gear for "hot" work) or a permanent orange cable/marker (communication lines/identification).

Well, the valencia is gone this morning. It's probably half way to San Diego by now.

It's possible that it is actually some sort of marker put there by one of the utilities. The pole is in my neighbor's yard and they do sometimes access it from that side. But, I've never seen one before and I haven't seen any activity lately. And, why a round ball for a marker? We recently got fiber optic cables, but they're buried in the street out front.

I guess I'm going to have to find another free site to store my images. I've never had any problems with Postimag.org until this time.

I noticed the site has changed a bit. It's not letting you store your images there anymore? I don't store images there I just post on there. I used to use IMGUR but it quit working for me for some reason. Hope you're able to find something else.

I was an admin on another Xenforo based forum for years. They'd tweak something and break something else quite frequently. But add in the problems postimage.org seems to have and it's can anyone's guess what the problem is.

I can see orange.jpeg, no photo. And that's only in a reply @OneEyedDiva made.
Luckily when I just opened the thread, the pics were there again.
It's a toss up if they will be there when I open in the future or not.
So, @robin416 here ya go, images saved, uploaded and hosted on imgur

Yes, it looks different now. They have done some upgrades and that's probably messed something up. But, it seemed to be working to me. I'll scout around and see if I can find a better site.

Are you actually storing images there or just using it for posting pics? I use it just to post and it gives me two options that say proceed I think. One is still the free and the other is for a paid account. I think the bottom proceed box is for the free acct. It says you can create an acct but if you scroll down it will bring up the free links like before.

I store them there and copy the direct link to paste here. I have the free account.

I thought those are the orange tubes; not round like oranges. 🤔

Oh I did not post the whole description
It did go on to say round orange objects were placed by workers etc etc
I have cleared my history so can't quote exactly.
You can search AI and get many examples.
Okay, thank you, mizmo.đź’—
