A season for evaluating disappointment

I invested finance and time into scuba diving certification, however, I may have to end my pursuit temporarily or altogether based on my training performance yesterday. Many factors contributed to yesterday's lack of coherence, including lack of preparation, tiredness, medical marijuana and overall weakness from last years surgery.

Don't give up so easily. If it's something you would like to do give it another go later. I would. Just saying.

Mr Ed, there used to be a limited PADI cert that allowed scuba diving with a certified/pro diver up to a depth of no more than 40 feet (if I remember right). Do they still have that certification?

It was called a "scuba license" or maybe "PADI license." It would be a good one to get so you can keep in practice and have a mentor diver until you get your strength back and are better prepared to try again for full certification.

Stopped bumming about Wednesday's mishap and signed up for SDI Open Water Certification eLearning course. I reached out to 3 nearby SDI training centers. one had no openings until August, waiting for the other 2 to respond. In the mean while I will complete eLearning and be ready start diving.

This is cool! I called National Aquatic Service; and an instructor will call to set diving times for training and I started SDI eLearning for OWC. If I had known better, I would not have wasted time or money on PADI. Who knows, maybe it is me either way, it's a problem and so it is.

I did scuba off the coast of CA and Mexico when I was in my 20's and 30's. I don't want to discourage you but I just want to warn you about pushing yourself beyond your limits...during my Naui training, one older gray haired man in my class died of a heart attack. So listen to your body and go easy. Maybe check with your doctor first.

Good luck! I hope this works out for you.

Gee, Ed, even *I* never took a test on pot.
Let me tell about my pot; my first time at the medical marijuana dispensary I bought 1:1 THC/CBD topical balm and a CBD dominant tincture. Historically, in the 1970s, marijuana combined with schizoaffective disorder did not mix, however these days are not anything like what I recall.

All was well with my first two purchases, so I increased THC ratio of the balm and Tincture happily, with heightened effects. My wife remarked I had a wild look in my eyes last night. I depend on her observations so as not to drift away.
