A strange visitor

You can all relax. Judy answered my email and said it was the mother of the woman next door and she knew her. That's probably where her car was - next door. Judy added that she did come to her apartment, so I guess the mystery package was delivered. Still wondering why the cable company said the call didn't go through - it obviously did.
Strange that the woman next door did not know that Judy had sold the house or where she had moved. Doesn't all add up.

I'm so glad it turned out alright Deb! I got worried too like many of us did. We tend to think the worst is happening. Just a habit that many of us have. Take good care and do be careful always!

Yes, I agree. She surely saw me moving in all summer and autumn.

I agree, too. Plus, that phone length of time didn't add up, either.

So in combination, still some mystery there, but likely not as dangerous as some of us, had feared.

Btw, I have lived in places like you described, Deb, without any regular police dept.
It meant being more careful what I felt free to tell the volunteers, knowing they have their own networks of interactions, and were apt to tell others all over the town, too. It's a very unique type of community, you adapt to what is best or appropriate, might be extremely different from most other places.!
