I thought you might want to read about a wonderful woman who loved a little girl enough to help her move past the terribly disabilities that were ruining her short little life.
[h=1]When This Girl Was Nine, Her Mother Decided To Amputate Her Legs. No One Could Imagine What Happened 15 Years Later[/h]
'Oksana Bindarchuk was born in 1989 in Ukraine. When she came into the world, doctors were shocked. The newborn baby looked strange. A large part of her legs was missing. Her hands were misshapen; she hadn’t thumbs and fingernails. Also, her kidneys were damaged. Her birth defects were probably caused by the nuclear disaster happened three years earlier in Chernobyl.....'
Her parents wouldn't take her home and this poor little child spent the first five years of her life in an orphanage before a lady from Cincinnati, a physiotherapist, saw
photo she moved heaven and earth to adopt her. By giving her a new life in the US, this little girl got prosthetics and opportunities and the chance at a real life. She has excelled at her normal life and has even been appointed to the American Paralympic Team!
So there you go, a lovely and very lucky young woman, a great life that started out really bad and a wonderful mother. Good story eh with Mother's Day coming up?
