It's really disturbing how messed up people are. How much of that is real and not more false recovered memories or just made up out of whole cloth?

What next? Reading leads to domestic violence? Country music is a precursor to rape? Playing with toy cars turns boys into oppressors?

How about instead of demonizing every human activity the disturbed get themselves some serious therapy?

These days tickling kids is frowned on. It's too bad but that is the world we live in now. Too many pedophiles ruining it for everyone. Like timoc innocently said, it can lead to other things. That's what they're counting on.

If a toy car was used as a way to trick a child into a molest situation or even an uncomfortable situation I'm sure it would bring back bad memories whenever a toy car comes into view. Even if that person is not "messed up" by seeing a toy car, it could evoke a bad or creepy memory I'm sure. Don't you think?

It IS sad that ‘some’ people will take an innocent thing like ticking and turn it into a creepy seduction but unfortunately it happens. It happened to me plenty of times.

If you haven’t been groomed by a pedophile wanting to seduce you as a kid then you shouldn’t be writing anything about it. You clearly know nothing about it which is a good thing. It’s not nice to tell others who have been molested that it’s a figment of their imagination.

I have not seen anyone demonizing the topic of tickling.

As for myself, I was Fortunate my cousin was not allowed to keep revisiting our home way back then. But he did revisit my two other younger cousin homes. They were not as fortunate as was I with the outcome.

Yes. I have fun memories luckily, as I think most do from childhood or young love etc
With grandkids and DH, who is the tickler, "The Claw", stop means stop. Unfortunately, you have to tip toe somewhat because of the current climate. Don't want any misunderstandings. Sad but prudent.
