A truly beautiful song by Engelburt Humperdinck

Engelbert was a favourite of my mothers' generation.. but I still like his music when I hear it. I've met him years ago.. and he's a really genuinely nice man..

Just in case you haven't found it yet, we have a very active music forum here...

I love Engelburt's voice and his Choice of Songs. Loved him for decades.
Thank you for your help today hollydolly :)

He lost his wife to alzheimers, who went onto contract Covid-19 in February of this year , which killed her.., to say he's heartbroken is to put it mildly...

He also recently celebrated his 85th birthday but still performing again after taking a break after his wife passed..

here he is 2 weeks ago playing live in PA...

..and this was him telling his fans all about the journey to finally put his wife Poppy to rest, and inviting everyone along to say goodbye on route... how many other celebrities would ever do that ?

There is no doubt he had a great love for her and so did Tom Jones for his wife. Show business is a marriage killer, but they still supported their wives and loved them.

yes they were of the old school, despite their infidelities, their wives accepted it, and the men enjoyed their flings but their love remained with their wives...

As an aside , EH..lives just 75 miles north of here...
