A very different Wood Carving Masterpiece

Not sure if this sprang from the patience of a Saint or from a miserable marriage but it's quite a feat.
Carved from a block of wood from the original Victory.

That's amazing!

I wonder if he - in fact, I can't imagine that he did not - carved the details such as rope and oars separately and attached them to the final model. I don't see how it would be possible to get that level of detail without separate pieces ...

Still wondering about the rigging too. It was hell enough rigging a plastic one with oiled twine.
