A Walk through the Cemetery

Reminds me that I emailed the cemetery where my father and grandmother are buried. He's got a headstone, she never did, asked them for a price, no response yet, maybe I'll call or visit.

Oh you've got courage dear @oldlongwalker to walk about and take these photos.

Ever since my first visit to our local back in 1966, ooh nope way too crowded. That was my first time being told by Papa that I had inherited his clairvoyance and that eventually I'd be experiencing clairaudience.

The worst was at night at the street down from said cemetery, in the summer we'd sleep on the balcony. Looking towards it, the souls wandering about. Youch!

I wanted to take the munchkins to the famous Titanic cemetery in Nova Scotia on a visit. I couldn't get out of the car and drove away after stopping at the entrance. The only photo I have is this one taken from website. The resting place of Karen Carpenter.

It is very popular among those who enjoy this sort of thing. They have a map of the more well-known folks resting here. They have lots of events like outdoor movies, concerts and a Day of the Dead festival.

Thank you for these wonderful photos. I love walking through cemeteries and always wanted to live next door to one but we never found a house. Their final resting place is perfect, but I will not be buried.

Reminds me of visiting my friends in Palm Springs, who took me on a tour of their neighborhood and some of the houses still have the names of former Hollywood stars on them.

I had a quite religious acquaintance in college who went to the local cemetery on the occasion of his 20th birthday to, as he put it, “meditate on what it meant to be on this Earth for two decades.” A cop hassled him for being there… 🙀
