A White Christmas after all

No snow for weeks and what we had was mostly melted. Very unusual here for this time of the year. Let the dogs out at 5:30 and still no snow.

Opened the window coverings about 30 mins ago and it's coming down hard! Big flakes and already almost an inch on the ground.

Yay!

Oh, wait... that means shoveling. Hmmm....
 

It is 50 years since I last had to deal with snow. Back then after I had it all shoveled ( I never owned a snow blower) I would go in the house and make a large cup of tea with a generous shot of rum in it. It almost made the snow worthwhile.
