you would do well to read that link if you haven't already, it explains why they shouldn't be washed..Yes I have checked around the net and get different stories.
I have never washed them, always replaced every ten years or so but the casing does get stained eventually even with protectors and mine are beginning to look a bit 'grungy'.
Just wondered what others did with them as people now seem to favour foam, plastic, whatever.
I had already seen that link and others. ...pro and cons....just wanted some personal trusted and tried opinions.you would do well to read that link if you haven't already, it explains why they shouldn't be washed..
I know...as I said I don't wash mine.. just the protectors and the pillowcases.. I throw mine out after about 6 or 7 years.. no matter how I washed or dried them, they didn't come out goodI had already seen that link and others. ...pro and cons....just wanted some personal trusted and tried opinions.
Down pillows are pretty expensive to replace.
I just found another website advertising down pillows and cost.I've often been told to replace feather/down pillows every couple years.
I'm behind the curve on that, mainly because of the cost .. but I'm in the market for some new pillows right now too.
