Accepting Death

Yeah, my Uncle was extraordinary. By the way, his first name was Walter. My middle name is Walter. Dad paid tribute to his brother when he named me.

It's not an easy thing to let loved ones pass on. As a nurse, I saw some family members, who could not do it. I've had patients, who were in a vegetative state, without any brain activity, and family members, who swore the loved ones were awake, talking, reading the newspaper., etc. That fact that no one else witnessed these activities didn't seem to bother the family member. The inability to accept the inevitable is not unusual in long term relationships like your uncle and your aunt.
