Across a crowded room.

Did you ever see someone in a crowd and think,"I know him/her", but for the life of you, you cannot remember from where, when, or who they are?

Yesterday, I was doing some shopping in a supermarket, and further down the aisle was another old codger like me. He, was definitely looking at me, with a puzzled expression, and, after taking an item off a shelf, I looked back down the aisle again and he was gone.

I continued with my shopping, then, outside, waiting for a taxi, I was tapped on the shoulder, and this bloke was stood there saying, "I think I know you from somewhere, but I can't remember where from."

"Believe it or not, when I saw you in there I was having the same thoughts", I told him.

It turned out that we both went to the same school, but in different classes. Anyway, tomorrow, we've arranged to meet at a pub for a pint, and we will no doubt discover more about each other.

Bumping into someone again is cool. When I was working, I was talking to a patient, and a psychologist. I happened to mention my address in New York, about 20 years previously. The Doc said that was right next door to me. The pt. said it was super close to his old address. In fact, I used to buy groceries in the store , where he was working. Turns out I was in the middle building and both were on either side. We didn't know each other back then. But we had to have seen each other-taking the same subway, walking to and from the buildings, etc. It was so strange that the three of us landed in the same room in Allentown, PA, 20 years later.

It's always nice to meet or in this case meet again a potential new friend! I hope you enjoyed your visit!

Well, I have to tell you that I enjoyed meeting up with Derek, we got a little tipsy and we had a good laugh.
Derek showed me lots of photographs of him and his five wives, I told him that he was either greedy or a glutton for punishment. :)

Now if you think you are going to get the whole story right now, heh, heh, heh, well you're not, it will be given (on the drip) over a few postings. :)
