Add a Sentence Story

This has probably been done before I imagine, but it's worth another shot. Let's create a wonderful story together!

Just add a sentence to the above post. You just have to wait for 2 posts before you can add another sentence.

Okay. I'll start...

Penny walked with a purpose...the Library was about to open.

In her hands were two farthings for to purchase a booklet.

Having a book report due in just a few days, it was time to begin, maybe a little late.

Especially since she graduated from school ten years ago.

Oh, but the bunions on her feet didn't half hurt.

True, but she didn't want to admit they FULLY hurt..

However, she soldiered on.

Seated in her cubicle...lost in her studies...Penny all of a sudden felt a presence behind her.

From her computer screen, she saw an image of a man.

Something about the shape of him, seemed familiar.

 

[Lawrence]

Penny opened the Self Defense Judo booklet that she purchased at the library and started practicing on how to flip someone over on their head and run-away fast screaming.

Security stopped Penny at the door for flipping the old man who worked at the library to the floor.

"Not so fast, young lady," said the security guard, looking menacingly at her.

"I saw what you did to that old man back there!"

Luckily for Penny, the old man came and said he would not press charges, and told Penny he had approached her because someone had left with him a mysterious small box to give to her.

Penny thanked him, took the box and slowly opened it, her eyes widening as she saw what lay inside.

Confounded, Penny asked the old man what dbm meant.

"Double-burger money," the old man explained, adding apologetically, "on account of the fact that you're too skinny."

With a big smile on her face, Penny took the Double-burger money and skipped her way to Wendy's for a Double-burger.

While waiting for burger Penny noticed a sign that read "good food takes time, yours will be ready in seconds."

Regardless of the fact that her burger was ready within seconds, Penny ordered fries which ironically, she had to wait a little longer for.

Penny discovered that she only had a penny left in her purse, so Penny sadly walked back down the lane.

 

[Blessed]

A Wendy's employee ran after her with her food, the fries fresh, hot covered in salt that sparkled in the sun like diamonds.

Penny sat in the parking lot, ate the Wendy's burger and fries, and thought to herself "These are so yummy. Why was I going to the library again?" She could no longer remember why she was walking with purpose.
