(CNN)CBS has offered up a first look at their "Adele One Night Only" special.

On Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. ET, you can watch Adele sing a selection of her hits and chat with Oprah Winfrey about her life and the stories behind her new music.

"I invite you to join me for one night only," Adele says to the camera.

Griffith Observatory is an observatory in Los Angeles, California on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. It commands a view of the Los Angeles Basin including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. The observatory is a popular tourist attraction with a close view of the Hollywood Sign and an extensive array of space and science-related displays. It is named after its benefactor, Griffith J. Griffith. Admission has been free since the observatory's opening in 1935, in accordance with the benefactor's will.

Over 7 million people have been able to view through the 12-inch (30.5 cm) Zeiss refractor since the observatory's 1935 opening; this is the most people to have viewed through any telescope.

Planet Saturn earrings for the observatory in an evening gown fit for a goddess in front of a sunset and dang the girl didn't even need any of that and it would have still been magical.

Such an amazingly strong deeply emotional voice for this generation. The peak top observatory setting among the sea of lights, an elite seated audience with good acoustics during a nicely cloud colored dusk was a good setting to match the performance. Concert started powerfully into the Universe... Hello

Second to last in the darkening evening sea of lights was a rocking Rolling in the Deep with its powerful line "We could have had it all..." that had the whole audience get to their feet and by the end were rocking the way live concerts are supposed to be...

Not a fan of Oprah , she likely had a 'sponser' role in the whole thing ?

After watching/listening to about 5 ? songs ...... Gotta say, I'm not really a fan of Adele either.

Just not crazy about her songs. @ some point she did say that she had lost 100 pounds ! For that I do admire her.

That could be why she had the grand-gala on stage etc.

My posting was not about ~ Oprah, but about Adele.

Yes but ...... regarding last night's program ...... ya can't have one without the other.

As I said I'm not really a fan of Adele's [music/songs] , but that said I think last night's program might have been better without O/W @ all.

It was the first time I heard Adele , and as I said I just didn't care for her songs ..... Now I will look for other selections on line, different songs might change my mind.
