Advantages of Wearing Suspenders

Most pants are made with belt loops, so to me, it just wouldn't look right to not have a belt on. It would look like something was missing - but I've always heard that a belt and suspenders should never be worn at the same time.

You have to remember that you can adjust the tension of the suspenders to where they are comfortable for you. Give them a try, who knows you might like them.
 
A good friend’s husband has always been thin. He started wearing suspenders in his late 20’s and they ended up being his fashion statement. He has always had some of the neatest & unique pairs of suspenders.

My husband was also very thin but flat out refused to wear suspenders.
 
When I was a senior in high school, our Chemistry teacher wore suspenders everyday. Someone started a fad with us kids in his class wearing suspenders on Fridays. I saw all kinds of suspenders. Disney, Warner Brothers and other types of cartoon suspenders and also plain colors. I remember the one girl in our class wore hot pink suspenders. I wore plain black.

The teacher took it pretty good. He kind of kidded us about it and then on Thursdays, he always reminded us to wear our suspenders tomorrow (Friday). During our last week of school, a couple of the girls made him a cake that resembled a suspender. He loved it.

I think I wore them a little when I was a kid. I know it wasn't my idea. I've always thought that they were rather stupid or silly. All I need is a belt. Suspenders are useless to me.
