After 25 years of not a single Trick or Treater....

Have not had any in years. To be honest, we do not even turn the lights on any more. When I first moved here there were many more children in the neighborhood, now not as many.

Because we live on a cul de sac and it's in a very child-safe neighborhood, kids arrive by the carload from different part of the city. We finally tired of giving out hundreds of pieces of candy and several years ago, abandoned the house on Halloween. Now we go out for a nice dinner. Last night it was a great Italian dinner, topped off by a pumpkin ricotta cheesecake for dessert. Got home after the streets had cleared.

Neighbor said last year she gave out 750 pieces of candy!

That sounds awesome!

I don't know about our neighborhood because we always leave before night fall but the towns around here were jumping last night. We go to best buddy's area where they turn it into a block party. Oh and we saw Daisy the deer's husband as we pulled out. Another community project...everyone puts out food or water for the deer.

Little cuties! I'd leave them in too!

Not sure how many kids were here but I went through a good bit of candy. I live on a cul de sac and there is a fresh crop of little ones around the bend. Have a few munchkins on my street too. They all came around 7 and within a half hour 45 min they were done. Parents always accompany the smaller ones.

Great picture!!!

I hope you get at least 2 every year from now on!

I live in a security building so no trick or treaters. The first couple of years that I lived here I kept a small bowl filled with quarters, just in case.

Where I live, the minimum lot size is 1 acre. Most are about 1.3 to1.5 acres. That's a lot of walking for little kids. So, it's just a few neighbors and some nearby relatives, via the car.
