after christmas poem

THEY ALL HAVE GONE HOME
Grandma and grandpa set by the Christmas tree,
There is emptiness where presents used to be...
The house was filled with laughing and giggles of joy,
The house now was bare, not even a broken toy......
Children and grandchildren just the day before,
Filled up every corner no room for anymore...
They filled each room with happiness, love and delight,
The smile they brought to grandpa was such a sight...
Vanished did the children from big down to the small,
All that lingers are memories; we will share with all....

lots of stuff....but nothing that compares to the joy my five children and their spouses and our twelve grand children bring....
