My youngest sister worked at both Merry-go-Round AND Chess King while she was in high school, two nights at one and two nights at the other, at the same mall. She was a tiny little bird-boned thing, 5'2" and didn't hit 90 pounds soaking wet.Merry-Go-Round and Chess King. I was a disco kid.
Glad to see someone still remembers these stores. They were pretty "hip" during their time. I have to say, your sister was brave! My youngest sister worked at both Merry-go-Round AND Chess King while she was in high school, two nights at one and two nights at the other, at the same mall. She was a tiny little bird-boned thing, 5'2" and didn't hit 90 pounds soaking wet.
One night she came home and casually mentioned that she had caught a guy stealing clothes and had chased him through the mall and out into the parking lot, where she caught up with him and wrestled the clothing from him. I thought my mom and dad were going to have a heart attack.

Jujube, I worked at Korvettes in Paramus, N.J. when I was 18 years old. I have fond memories of working in the toy department there, dating someone I had graduated with (we didn't last though) and meeting Bill. We became good work friends but after leaving the company, we didn't stay in touch.TG&Y
