Aged driving test?

What age do you have to stop driving where you live?

In Australia, once you reach the age of 80 you need to undergo an annual medical assessment before you can renew your driver's licence. Once you turn 85, you might be required to do a practical test if your doctor recommends it — but otherwise, it's not mandatory.
Some other states do have slightly different from the above.

There is no age to stop driving where I live. My mom's license was up for renewal a few months ago and she went to the RMV and got it done with NO special tests at all and she is ninety.

I have never heard of an age limit here in the states but it could very well be . I have always felt that after one turns sixty five ones vision should be tested annually . It would also be good if there was a test for gauging reaction time. JMO

After 70 years old, we have to renew it every 3 years, I have
various extras on mine, like some heavy vehicles and mini
buses up to 22 seats, plus tracked vehicles, I had to get a
medical, every time it had to be renewed, but there is no
top limit to driving if you are capable and healthy, there are
some London Bus drivers who are well over the retirement
age, I read maybe a year ago about one driver who was 80+,
that might have been an error I thought at the time, but there
are a few in their 60s and 70s.

None here, that I know of. We do have to pass the vision test every 5 years or so, no matter the age.

In Louisiana my grandfather got his last license at age 95. He failed the vision test, and when his eye doctor wrote a note saying his vision was as good as it could be made, they just stamped "Uncorrectable Vision" on his license and gave it to him. Guess he just had to show he had tried.

That was in the 80s, hopefully Louisiana has changed. My grandfather kept driving to 97, then when he had a minor traffic accident, no injuries, he decided to quit. He was wiser than the state.

I don't think that you have an eye test here, charry, unless
you have to have a medical test to renew your licence.

There is no upper age limit either.

Here is the Highway Code Online version.

We have to undergo an eye test every time we get our licenses renewed here, except during the pandemic or if you renew online.
