This new series looks interesting and being a SciFi fan, I'll have to check it out. I will give my critique after watching a couple of episodes.
The show is actually produced by Hulu, which is now a subsidiary of Disney (Disney gobbled up some networks). The show also presents with the FX logo, so I don't know if it also airs on FX since I no longer have cable. I don't know what you mean by "they went liberal". If it's political in nature, either don't answer or message me. Thank you.I gave up on Disney some time ago! I used to love everything they did on TV and movies, but they went Liberal! So even though they do produce some products that resemble the old Disney, For me, I cannot support anything they do since they fell of the wagon! You cannot play two sides to that coin...

Thank you for the suggestion Doug. I don't plan to subscribe to Netflix again until Stranger Things comes back on. Hopefully I'll either remember about Dark then or come across it when I'm checking their catalog and remember it. Speaking of time travel type shows, did you watch Manifest? We have FX on cable and have already recorded 2 episodes.
We will watch it once we get through two more seasons of Dark on Netflix. @OneEyedDiva if you like SciFi, Dark is about children who disappear in 1986 and then 33 years later under the exact same circumstances. I won't spoil it, but it's basically "time travel" with dark undertones. Every character in the series is shown as they were in 1986, then compared to who they are now. It's mind-blowing. Kind of "Stranger Things".
I first saw Alien in the movies and I remember jumping out of my seat when that alien popped out of the body!Watching it now... I'm a big fan of the Alien franchise.
Final year of college when the first movie came out. Sigourney Weaver as Ripley ...mmm...mmm...mmm
I watch nearly everything with subtitles now, for that reason.I've been watching it on my DVR, overall I like it but I have to say I have trouble following the storyline sometimes. And the audio quality isn't very good, I keep turning the volume up. Good show but it could be better.
Same with us. We watched the first episode, then the beginning of the second and said "no thanks". Unlike Stranger Things, there is nothing likable about the young people. Especially the young guy that is the "child prodigy" who walks around in his PJs eating apples.I watched two episodes and have not found one character or actor that I can say I like. Besides a good plot, good writing, etc. liking either the actor(s), character(s) and team(s), ideally all three, are crucial elements for me staying interested in a show. The show's premise alone is not enough to sustain my interest. Also, there are some very gory scenes which is unappealing, especially since I tend to watch T.V. while I'm eating and immediately after. I'm disappointed and am in no rush to watch the remaining episodes.
Right!! Another turn off is the language, that has been permeating new productions these days.Same with us. We watched the first episode, then the beginning of the second and said "no thanks".
