All about Brandy (alcohol) ...

LadyEmeraude

You may call me EM 😊
I enjoy two drinks of Brandy each year, and really love the taste~

I'm not much of a Brandy drinker, although my dad loved it.
That's all he drank, brandy/water on the rocks.
same with my dad ...

*I like the sweet blackberry De Kuyper brandy (spelling?)

Every year in November a close friend gives me small bottle, and has for years, it is 16 ounces
and I sip on it all November and December...

All I know about brandy is that it’s my secret ingredient in my margaritas that make folks go “Oooh! May I have another?! 😂)
I had no idea that brandy could be in margaritas, yum sounds so good :) I'll have another lol :)

Reminds me of the story about the Preacher who loved brandied peaches. A playful parishioner approached him and said, "Parson, I just put up some brandied peaches and I'd love to give you a jar. One condition, though....you have to thank me for them from the pulpit next Sunday."

The Parson was so eager for those brandied peaches that he agreed. Throughout the week, he thought and thought about how to word his thanks. This being a hard-core Baptist church, he just couldn't get up there and admit that he was the recipient of ...gasp...something with alcohol in it, could he?

Finally, he had a great thought and when Sunday rolled around and he was making the announcements from the pulpit, he looked down at his benefactor, Mrs. Smith, who was sitting there grinning and waiting for the announcement. With a clear conscience, he said, "....and I'd especially like to thank Mrs. Smith for her very generous gift of fruit and especially for the spirit in which it was given. "

One Christmas, my mother bought some blackberry Brandy for grandmother to enjoy before dinner. Well she neglected to tell her she was taking some potent painkillers.

She took a nap for 2 hours, awoke up, ate, had another shot, went down for two more hours, then woke, asked if it was time to leave.

We drove her home, that was the most laid back time we ever saw grandmother.
