All Kinds of Everything ...

Beautiful Monday here in Oz…feeling refreshed and filled with joie de vivre after spending some magical days at our cabin among the gum trees (Eucalypts)… ‘twas open house and with the help of friends…picked the last of the berries and brought back tons which are now in the freezer ready to be used during winter. First out of the oven will be hubby’s favourite Nordic Granola Berry pie.

Although the days were warm, the temperature dropped at night, good excuse to curl up in front of the log fire, sip a glass of wine from our neighbour’s vineyard and enjoy chocolates the Easter bunny left!

Hope everyone had a cheerful Easter filled with love and laughter. Without a doubt…love is a many splendored thing:

This song always reminds me of the movie by the same name w/Warren Beatty and Natalie Wood.

I watched the Moon around the House

I watched the Moon around the House
Until upon a Pane—
She stopped—a Traveller’s privilege—for Rest—
And there upon

I gazed—as at a stranger—
The Lady in the Town
Doth think no incivility
To lift her Glass—upon—

But never Stranger justified
The Curiosity
Like Mine—for not a Foot—nor Hand—
Nor Formula—had she—

But like a Head—a Guillotine
Slid carelessly away—
Did independent, Amber—
Sustain her in the sky—

Or like a Stemless Flower—
Upheld in rolling Air
By finer Gravitations—
Than bind Philosopher—

No Hunger—had she—nor an Inn—
Her Toilette—to suffice—
Nor Avocation—nor Concern
For little Mysteries

As harass us—like Life—and Death—
And Afterwards—or Nay—
But seemed engrossed to Absolute—
With shining—and the Sky—

The privilege to scrutinize
Was scarce upon my Eyes
When, with a Silver practise—
She vaulted out of Gaze—

And next—I met her on a Cloud—
Myself too far below
To follow her superior Road—
Or its advantage—Blue—

🌿🌿🌿🌿

Have a lovely weekend everyone. We are off to our country cabin in the woods.

Meanwhile down at the cabin…well…thought it was going to be a quiet celebratory 30th wedding anniversary for two of our best friends. Nooo, it was not!

Instead we landed right into a Texan themed party at their winery… complete with a spit roast, a horse show and line dancing...good thing we had our Akubra hats and boots to take part in the dancing. When guests were asked to give a little demo of their favourite couples line dance, with a little coercion from me, hubby and I did our thing to one of our favourite country and western songs:

I’m still dancing !!

Well...we've had our Mother's Day celebrations down under...and what a great day it was. I am now curled up in bed, deliciously tired but with a feeling of love and gratitude for everything in my world...

Wishing you all across the pond, a very happy day too...enjoy every minute of what you are doing today.

This is my all kinds of everything.
Topic.......Census Forms.
A little while ago, learned there was a Census to be filled out.....checked the mail often.....nothing.
Date to be filled out by was May 11.
Saw a notice reminder taped to my entrance door at the garage, phone # to call, or website to do online.....have to enter 16 digit code #......where is that ??????
Tuesday morning, took my garbage bin to the street for pickup.....coming back.....noticed there was a paper in plastic attached to my front door handle.......CENSUS.

Wonder how long that was there. :sneaky:🙃🤪😜😶🙃. Did it online.....3 minutes, was done.

Not sure.... don't think it's a senior moment....must be something else.;)
