All The Live long Day...."Now departing on Track Two"!

I enjoy train travel more than any other type of traveling. Way back in '67, I took the train 3,000 miles from Vancouver to Toronto. It took 3 days/nights.

Fast forward a few decades to my years in South Australia when my daughter visited me. I took her on a train journey to Melbourne, on an overnight train. We have reminisced about that trip, as it was so enjoyable.

Bill Boggs On the Orient Express train between Venice and Paris

"Take a luxurious ride on the famed Orient Express, the long-distance passenger train created in 1883. Bill dines in high style in a 1929 Pullman Dining car. Immortalized by Agatha Christie, the Orient Express evokes mystery and extravagance."

Me too Pinky. I traveled from Newark, N.J. to Tampa, Fla. in 2019. It was such a comfortable ride that took a little more than 24 hours. The lady sitting next to me turned out to be the best seat mate; we had so much fun. I had good "neighbors" across from me on the way back, so that was a fun trip too. I'd do it again if I could. I'd have to stay at least 7 days and I don't want to be away from Deja that long. Last time I stayed with my Honorary Son #1 and his fiancee and extended my stay from 7 to 10 days. I now enjoy watching Amtrak travelers' videos.

This is the likely the train I'd take except I'd start the second stop, Newark.

One of the sights that amazed my wife and I when we used to visit a friend in Savannah GA, was the length of some of America's freight trains. It looked like they went on beyond the horizon.
