I've been frustrated with my abundance jar, lately. I think I'm bummed because a pot of gold hasn't landed on my door step.

But I'm thinking now about what my abundance jar and my daily incantations for it are really about for me. Am I actually trying for a magical pot of gold, or is it a better goal to change the focus of my energy around abundance. That's rhetorical. ;)

Maybe there are witches out there who can manifest literal riches by casting spells, I don't know. I need though, to focus on my craft, my spirit, my energy and how I want to direct it.

That's what my spell work is about.

So when I do my incantation into my abundance jar tomorrow it's going to be with a focus on changing the flow of my energy about abundance, how I see it manifesting in my life and what that means for me. I think, for me, this is an attitude thing.

My shadow work this morning was difficult, but also very cathartic. It reminds me that the hard work is were I grow and that the growth is ultimately worth the discomfort.

If I have spirit guides, they have been frustratingly silent of late or I am not listening in the right way. I'm finding myself seeking a deeper connection these days, though I sense it's going to require work as most worthy endeavors do.

Though I've been doing it for months, it's just occurred to me that I have incorporated the main elements into my abundance jar spell. The candle flame for fire, my breath on the apple seeds as I blow on them air and water (the water vapor in my breath) and earth is in the apple seeds themselves. There is also my spirit as I breathe into the jar my intentions. So, you know, that's cool.

This is a nice little spell and I'm pretty sure I have all the components. I'm thinking of doing this one in front of a mirror, whilst staring into it, as well.

So I've done this, in front of the mirror as I'd planned, with lights off. Using the words as a chant.
And the results were more interesting than I'd expected, actually.

I feel like this is going to take time and repetition and I'm up for that. At the very least it is a peaceful meditative practice to incorporate into my daily life.
