When I was in grade school, we were required to give a card to each classmate. You know, the high class cards that were 100 for a buck at the store. In high school, I worked in the town drugstore so my current sweetie got the biggest heart shaped box of candy in the store...(I was always popular with my girlfriend's bothers). In subsequent years, my lady got cards, candy or flowers in keeping with the fashion of the period.

Now I pretty much ignore the greeting card offers, candy samplers (unless I want some myself) and haven't been in a flower shop for a long time. Sorry Hallmark, I've aged out of your target demographic.
