Allergy or Virus?

Joking, BUT!

Allergies are in high gear!! When I’m being rational, I know that. When I’m not, I think Im dying from the virus and taking Ron with me!! 😖

You?

I have chronic long term sinus problems which in turn make it hard to breathe. That being said I think about every sniffle, runny nose, cough or something stuck in throat. My sinuses are also affected with rapid changes in humidity so when I walk into a store in usually the ac or heat is dryer than the outside which sometimes trips my sinuses. Same for a dirty environment. Anything that dries out my sinuses or throat could very easily lead someone to believe I have a respiratory issues to say the least.

I'm not afraid of the virus but how others are reacting.

I always cough a lot, especially if I eat something with a hidden allergen in it.
Now everyone looks at me like I'm contaminated, when I may just be having an asthma attack!

The dry air from the heated house in the winter always gives me a tickle in my throat, which I clear with a cough. Add to that the allergic reactions I get every season, and of course I cough double! :(

I have NEVER been more aware of coughing than I am in this current environment! I have had to suppress coughing when I'm in line at the grocery store in the early morning senior hours shopping, because I don't want the looks, the subtle or not so subtle moving away from me, the disapproval. It doesn't even matter that I have on my mask, my gloves, that I'm coughing into my elbow, that I'm only coughing ONCE, just enough to clear the tickle from my throat.

The moment the cough escapes, I'm a pariah! o_O

I take a good dose of my allergy meds before going out in public lest I sneeze, freak people out, and be surrounded by finger-pointers intoning as they scurry away, “unclean, unclean!
