A Grande dame...a dignified woman , usually older and often thought as accomplished.
(French: great lady)

Who was the one in your family?

And, how was your relationship?

My grandmother, definitely.

We didn't see each other often, and we didn't ever clash. But she was so regal, etc., and I'm more of a flake. So we didn't get along all that well.

My Great Aunt Bessie .. we didn't have much of a relationship, she had no kids of her own and couldn't relate to them, but she was kind enough. She was a French Polisher, and was always very polished herself.. Bouffant Blonde Hair , which she wore always with silk ribbons .
