Back in early 60s, I worked part-time in this store for Dick Welch and we rented the upstairs in the house next door.

This is what it looks like today. The house is just as bad. Big stores moved in and put all the Mom and Pop stores out of business. What a damn shame.

although Dick has passed, his son could not afford to keep store open.

That is a shame Pappy, so sad. Would have been great if his son could have kept he business going...but mom and pop stores are definitely becoming a thing of the past.
