So after a hard day of shopping, I am back in my recliner watching tv considering a nap before bed time when there is a knock on the door.
Drag myself up, open the door, and there is a small package from Amazon with my husbands name on it. I didn’t order anything, he never orders so what the heck?
Take it to him, as I am the butler. He never answers the door. I give him the package, he opens it, and it’s a package of light bulbs. Oh, great he says. Thanks for ordering those, we forgot to buy them at the store. What? Does he think Amazon is magic? Order and half an hour later you get lightbulbs?
I did not order them. You did not order them. How did we get light bulbs from amazon right after we bought new lamps? He gives me the look and says “you must of ordered them some time ago and forgot”. Oh good god, no I did not. Whatever, he says. I’m using them.
Then he notices a note in the package which says:
A GIFT FOR YOU
Mom, Happy late birthday, and hopefully on time thanksgiving and early Christmas to brighten your day.
From . . .and she put their names and the names of all her dogs.
. She says the rest of the present will arrive by December 1, but save a light bulb for it. I tell her the light bulbs were just great.
