Yesterday, while watching the election results, an amber alert was sent out to 3 million Utah residents. A kidnapped 10 month old baby. OMGod, how does someone get their 10 month old kidnapped, I wondered. Husband say they probably walked away from the stroller. We see it all the time here

Nope.

Mom got out of a running car for a few minutes, leaving another adult inside with the baby. That stupid person left the car and went who knows where. Leaving a running car unattended in a parking lot. . Car is stolen with sleeping baby in back. Baby is left on the doorstep of a house.

Baby found by a person who saw the amber alert, saw the car, searched for the baby, and found the baby. Stupid people who stole the car will be in prison for a long time. Moral of story. Before you steal a running car check the back seat, stupid!

The bigger moral of the story is do not leave your baby with people who cannot be trusted.

Thank God the thief had the decency to leave the baby in a safe place. It could have been dumped by the side of the road somewhere.

I said "Many." Not "All." The sweeping generalization came from you.
And that particular case involved a couple who might have gotten away with it if they weren't so stupid. They didn't realize that video cameras are everywhere. The husband was on video when he went to his vehicle at work to get something out of it & pretended not to notice his dead child he left in the car seat several hours ago. And both of them were chatting in the police station room - on video - discussing what the police can prove & not prove. The wife says, "Don't worry, honey....they'll think it's an accident; they won't be able to prove it wasn't."

Or, young parents who allow their kids to go outside wearing summer clothes, no coat, and sometimes no shoes, when it's cold enough for wife and I to wear a coat. Completely stuns us!

All of us are different. Some did not have parents who treated them properly. Some have had a harder time of it in general than others, or they don't have the inner fortitude that others have. When we point a finger, there are four pointing back at us. It's better to try to understand.
