What a great day for a team that would not give up.

I love the photo event at the end of the ceremony where team members carried the two children of their deceased team member onto the ice, along with his jersey and took a photo of the team with the kids. What a wonderful thing to do. Great guys.

What a great game that was! And I don't even LIKE hockey, but I watched the game hoping for another Miracle on the Ice.

p.s. I still don't like hockey, but I love miracles.

And bringing those toddlers out onto the ice for the team shot.....priceless! I would have thought the babies would have been terrified, but they were enjoying it as much as the players. Hopefully, we'll see them playing for the men's and women's Olympic teams in another 20 years.

Here's an interesting hockey story I heard. in 2016 the number of 8 year olds enrolled in hockey classes hit 100,000 in the USA. In 2030 those kids will be in their 20's. Perhaps another great team is coming.

This was posted yesterday on another thread, but it was a great match. I used to be a big hockey fan, but lost interest in it

It was 46 years to the day yesterday that the U.S. beat Russia
in the hockey match of the century by a score of 4-3.
