Americans - What do you prefer your country to be called ?

The same question could be asked of the British. Great Britain, Britain or the UK? Americans tend to say England, which is not accurate.
When I was younger, we used to refer to 'The Yanks' but it seems that term isn't used any more.

I watch Weekends with Yankee which is from Yankee magazine. Yankee in this case simply means New Englander.

I prefer "Yankee Heaven" to the United States of America. I would also like to see the United States of America changed to the United States of the World (USW). The USW could then invite all the nations of our world to join in making all of Planet Earth ONE NATION. That would end all wars and allow every resident of planet Earth to be in ONE NATION for ALL!

Great Britain is a cluster of countries .
England, Scotland, N Ireland, Wales ......
........all part of the Continent of Europe so we can all call ourselves European.

I was born in Scotland and call myself Scottish but also Canadian since I am a long time citizen and as part of
the Continent of America could call myself American too..ehh!

Canada ,The United States , Mexico etc ., all part of the American Continent so we can all be called Americans.

I think here in Canada we mostly refer to the United States as simply - The US
