An 88 year old grouch looking For GrouchLand

Oh, boy! Lot's of trips to your neck of the woods when I and my wife were still on the motorcycles.

I remember that dang Bong Bridge. The battery in the bike went dead on us as we were on our way to Duluth. It wasn't fun gliding over to the side of the super busy road with a dead engine on the Suzuki GSL 1100. Luckily, I always carried a spare battery in the trunk of the bike. Car batteries are bad enuf. Bike batteries were worse because of their small size. They did not last long, especially when running a number of 100 watt lights on the bike. Anyway, we were on our way to Duluth. My wife had spent her school summer vacations living up there with her relatives.

We took many a trip along the Mississippi. One day we were up in your state just gawking at the scenery. My wife decided she wanted a catfish dinner. We sped our way down to Hannibal, Mo and she had her catfish dinner.

Had to get off the bikes at 80. Missing them and such rides is holy hell. As I said once before, The Golden Years SUCK!

Did I say "Hi" yet? :cautious:😉
